From anime, yakisoba bread arrives in Miaoli
The owner loves anime and often noticed yakisoba bread in scenes set at Japanese school fairs and festivals. That everyday Japanese snack became the shop’s earliest inspiration.
Rather than open another familiar breakfast or noodle shop, he wanted to offer something that would spark curiosity at first sight and stay in people’s memory after the first bite.

The first successful flavour: Osaka-style
The owner previously ran a healthy lunchbox business in Taichung, so this was not his first experience in food service. The first yakisoba-bread flavour he successfully developed was Osaka-style.
For many people, Japan brings Osaka-style savoury pancakes and takoyaki to mind. That familiar, widely loved flavour became Nambo Wan’s first signature direction.

A wish to make the area by Miaoli Station lively again
The owner saw how lively station districts are in other cities and hoped the area around Miaoli Station could also gather more places worth stopping for.
He loved Railway Village’s old-residence character and hoped people would come not only to eat, but also to stroll, look around and enjoy the atmosphere.
